Angiogenesis

It is a biological process in which new capillaries branch off from existing blood vessels and grow. It plays a crucial role in many physiological and pathological conditions, including development, wound healing, cancer, and regenerative medicine. In particular, in bio-mimetic environments such as three-dimensional culture systems and organ-on-a-chip devices, the establishment of vascular structures as networks for oxygen and nutrient supply is essential, making the induction and analysis of angiogenesis a central focus of research.
